Bug fix: Fixed

The chart's days and hours no longer jump

1D shows one trading session at the right hours, 1W shows one label per day, and 1M labels every few days evenly, so nothing skips from one date to a later one.

A performance chart with evenly spaced day labels under the line, and a short step where the market was closed

The performance chart could jump from October 4 to October 6, and on 1D the hours moved in steps. The data was complete. The chart was drawing it badly.

What changed

  • 1D shows the latest trading session at your own local hours. It used to read the market's times as yours, and it drew yesterday's evening beside today.
  • 1D now measures from the previous close, so a stock that opens down shows as down.
  • 1W has one label for each trading day, and the nights and weekends when the market is shut no longer take up half the width.
  • 1M labels every few days, evenly spaced, so a date is never skipped at the start of a month.
  • A day's date reads the same wherever you are. Before, a browser behind UTC could show the day before.
  • The 1D and 1W lines refresh every few minutes while the market is open, and when you press Update.
  • Holdings priced in pounds or Canadian dollars are no longer added up as dollars on 1D and 1W.

If you hold crypto, the market never closes, so 1W stays a plain calendar week.
