A Portfolio Visualizer alternative for what you own.

These are two different tools. Portfolio Visualizer is an analysis platform for backtesting, Monte Carlo simulation, optimization and factor analysis of hypothetical portfolios. It is not a tracker of live holdings.

FortuneOK is the tracker for what you actually own. It does not backtest or simulate. Many people use one to test an idea and the other to follow what they did with it.

Questions

Does FortuneOK backtest portfolios?

No. FortuneOK does not backtest, simulate or optimize. It tracks the portfolio you hold. Portfolio Visualizer is built for testing ideas on hypothetical portfolios before you commit.

Can I use both?

Yes, and many people do. Test an allocation in Portfolio Visualizer, then set it as your allocation targets in FortuneOK and follow how your real portfolio tracks it.

Why does FortuneOK track instead of test?

A backtest answers what might have happened. A tracker answers what did happen to your money, after your own trades, fees and exchange rates. FortuneOK is built for the second question.

Stop rebuilding the spreadsheet. Start reading one number.

Connect a broker or import a file, and your whole portfolio is on one screen in the currency you actually spend.
