See what exchange rates did to your gains

Open your Gains and a Currencies tab shows how much of the gain came from exchange rates, currency by currency.

A Gains window with two tabs, Assets and Currencies, the Currencies tab open on a total and a row for GBP and EUR with the rate you bought at and today's rate

If you hold anything in another currency, part of your gain came from the exchange rate and not from the price. You can now see exactly how much, in one place.

What changed

  • Open Gains and the window has two tabs: Assets, holding by holding, and Currencies.
  • Currencies shows the total the exchange rates added to or took from your gain since you bought, then one row per currency with the average rate you bought at, today's rate and the money it moved.
  • The tab only appears when you hold something in another currency and the effect is big enough to matter.
  • The extra Currencies line under Today and the separate window it opened are gone. A day's exchange-rate move was not part of the Today figure above it, and it read like a contradiction.
  • The empty state under Gains now reads No sales yet, without the full stop.

The Gains figure itself did not change. The Currencies tab shows the part of it that came from exchange rates.
