New feature: New

See where your return comes from

A slim row under your goal cards splits your total return into what you would gain by selling, what you already locked in, income and fees.

A row of five cells divided by hairlines, four parts joined by plus, plus, minus and equals signs to a total on the right

Your return card tells you how much you are up. It did not tell you why.

A new row under your goal cards breaks the total into four parts that add up to it. It follows the portfolio you have selected, like the chart below it.

What each part means

  • Unrealized is what you would gain or lose by selling everything you still hold, before fees.
  • Realized is the gain or loss you already locked in by selling.
  • Income is dividends, interest, rewards and rent, after tax withheld.
  • Fees are commissions, account charges and the costs you logged against a holding.

Tap the info icon on any part for a short explanation. Hide your values with the eye icon and the row hides them too.
