Pick how you look at your gains: by source or by exchange rate

The Gains window swaps its two tabs for one View menu. Choose all gains, one kind of gain, or the part that came from exchange rates, each with its total.

The Gains window with a View menu open: all gains, market gains, your valuations, cash accounts, and below a divider the exchange-rate effect, each with a total

The Gains window had two tabs, Assets and Currencies, and inside Assets the list was already split into market gains, your valuations and cash. That was two ways to move around for one list. It is now one menu.

What changed

  • A View menu sits under the total. It opens on All gains: every holding in one list, biggest gain first.
  • Pick Market gains, Your valuations or Cash accounts to see only that kind, with its total.
  • A small sort button beside the menu orders the list by change in money, change in percent or value, highest or lowest first. Total return, Today and each period have the same button.
  • Below a divider, Exchange-rate effect lists what each currency added to or took from your gain.
  • Every choice shows its total, and the one you picked stays in the button.
  • A wallet with one kind of asset and one currency has no menu, because there is nothing to choose.

Why exchange rates are set apart

A gain on a euro stock is part of your market gains and also part of what the euro did to you. So the exchange-rate list adds up to a piece of your gains, not to a slice beside the others, and its total says so.

The Gains figure at the top never changes when you pick a view. Only the list underneath does.
