Your property and car rows now say when you last valued them
A home, a car or a bar of gold is worth what you last wrote down. Each of those rows now shows that date, and turns amber once it is a year old.
A stock has a live price. A house, a car or a bar of gold has the last number you typed in. Every figure on that row, from its value to its return, is only as recent as that number, and the row never said how old it was.
What changed
- Rows for property, cars, precious metals and other assets you value by hand now show "Last valued" with the date.
- A year after that date the line turns amber and says so.
- Stocks, funds, crypto and cash look exactly as before, because their values do not come from you.
To refresh a value
Open the row's menu and choose View valuations, then add a new one. Purchases and valuation updates count as a valuation. Rent, repairs and other costs do not, so a roof repair last month does not make an old estimate look new.
We never change a value for you. The amber line is a nudge to check the number, nothing more.
