New feature: New

A clearer first screen for new accounts

A new account now starts with an Add asset button, your own goals first, and one sample portfolio below, clearly marked as an example.

A dashboard with an Add asset button, your goal cards, a sample banner and a faded example portfolio below

The first screen mixed your own cards with a sample. Now it reads in order.

What changed

  • On a desktop, Add asset sits in the header next to your portfolio menu, including on a new account.
  • Your own goal cards come first, then one banner saying that everything below is an example, then the faded sample portfolio. The repeated captions are gone.
  • In the Add asset form, the Symbol field now says what it is: the short code an asset trades under, like AAPL for Apple. You can type a name or the code.

Add your first asset and the sample disappears.
