Improvement to an existing feature: Improved

On a phone, Transactions open as a panel and grow when you edit

Transactions, Valuations and Debts open as a bottom panel, grow to full screen when you add or edit, and shrink back to your list where you left it.

A phone-sized bottom panel listing transactions, an arrow, and the same panel grown to full screen as an editor with an amount field and a Save button

On a phone, Transactions, Valuations and Debts used to cover the whole screen the moment you opened them, even if you only wanted to look at a list. Now they open small and take the screen only when you need to type.

What changed

  • The list opens as a bottom panel, about two thirds of the screen, with your dashboard still showing above it.
  • Add or Edit grows the same panel to full screen. Back, Cancel or Save shrinks it to your list, scrolled to where you were.
  • Opening something from a window now stays in that window. A holding's fees, a period, a debt or a transaction appears inside it with a Back button, instead of a second window on top.
  • Panels grow and shrink smoothly when their content changes, and a detail slides in from the side.
  • Closing a full-screen window no longer slides the page behind it up to the top.
  • The amount field in the editors shows up at once. The grey block that used to hold its place is gone.

The menu on a tablet

The public menu now opens right under the menu button on a tablet, like the account menu. On a phone it is still a bottom panel. Its links are bigger, so they are easier to tap.
