Improvement to an existing feature: Improved

One order, one line

When your broker fills one order in pieces, the app now shows it as a single transaction with the total shares, the combined fee and the average price.

Four small buy fills of 18, 2, 1 and 0.5456 shares merging into one buy order of 21.5456 shares

Sometimes a broker fills one order in pieces. Interactive Brokers can split a buy of 21.5456 shares into fills of 18, 2, 1 and 0.5456. We used to list every fill as its own transaction, so your history showed more lines than your broker's.

What changed

  • A synced order is now one line, however many pieces the broker filled it in.
  • The line carries the total shares, the combined fee and the average price.
  • Your shares, cost and returns do not change. The pieces always added up to the same totals.

Do you need to do anything?

No. The next time your broker syncs, we tidy your existing history by ourselves. Your history then reads the way your broker shows it.
