What your holdings could pay next year

Under Income in the returns row, an estimate of what your dividends, interest, rewards and rent would pay over the next 12 months.

An income cell with a figure and an estimate line under it, above two runs of monthly bars, the last year solid and the next year dashed

The Income figure in the returns row tells you what you have been paid. Under it now sits what the next 12 months could pay, if nothing changes.

How it is worked out

  • For each stock and fund, the dividends of the last year, per share, times the shares you hold now.
  • Interest, rewards and rent carry over as they were over the last year.
  • Buy more and it goes up, sell and it goes down. A holding that paid nothing last year projects nothing.

It is an estimate, not a promise. A holding you bought in the last year has fewer payouts to count, so its number runs low.

The dividends on your FIRE card now come from the same place, so the two always agree. Both count dividends after any tax withheld.
